Job Summary: Nursing professional responsible for planning, executing, monitoring, and evaluating actions for the prevention and control of healthcare-associated infections, ensuring patient safety and regulatory compliance. Plan, execute, monitor, and evaluate actions for the prevention and control of Healthcare-Associated Infections (HAIs), ensuring quality of care, patient safety, and compliance with ANVISA regulations. Main Responsibilities: Epidemiological and Clinical Surveillance **Conduct daily active surveillance and monitoring of hospitalized patients** Investigate, report, and follow up on suspected and confirmed HAIs **Monitor clinical progression, laboratory tests, and potential infections** Monitor cultures (preliminary and final) and update the isolation map **Consolidate epidemiological data and prepare periodic reports Indicators and Monitoring** Monitor and analyze internal and external indicators (including GVE) **Consolidate data related to: o Hand hygiene (HH) o Invasive devices o Terminal cleaning o Surgical antisepsis o Bed blocking** Prepare management reports and propose action plans Antimicrobials **Monitor antimicrobial use** Monitor antibiotic therapy and support rational use **Audit surgical antibiotic prophylaxis Audits and Inspections** Conduct audits of clinical processes **Assess compliance with institutional protocols** Perform technical visits to departments **Evaluate infection prevention and control practices Environmental Control** Collect and analyze water samples or supervise such activities **Monitor environmental conditions related to clinical safety Education and Protocols** Develop, review, and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and institutional protocols **Develop and deliver training sessions for staff Integration and Management** Participate in and organize meetings of the Hospital Infection Control Commission (CCIH) **Accompany multidisciplinary visits to departments** Accompany inspections by regulatory agencies **Collaborate with clinical, quality, and patient safety teams** Maintain effective communication with leadership Operational Routines **Perform daily checks of institutional emails** Adhere to activity schedules: o Weekly o Monthly o Annual **Carry out additional SCIH-related tasks as per institutional planning Requirements:** Completed undergraduate degree (Nursing) **Active registration with the professional council** Specialization in Hospital Infection Control (Mandatory) **Knowledge of current sanitary legislation Technical Competencies:** Epidemiological surveillance **Indicator analysis** Clinical risk management **Antimicrobial stewardship** Health audit Payment: R$3.000,00 - R$5.411,17 per month Benefits: * Medical assistance * Meal allowance * Transportation allowance Education: * Completed undergraduate degree (Mandatory) Experience: * SCIH nursing (Mandatory) Work location: On-site
