TUNNEL EXCAVATION WORKER

Description

Job Summary: The professional will work at the tunnel excavation face, performing excavation, cleaning, rock drilling, muck removal and loading, as well as assisting in the installation of containment systems and operating equipment. Key Highlights: 1. Direct involvement at the tunnel excavation face 2. Assistance in installing containment systems 3. Operation of equipment such as drill rigs and jackhammers * Work directly at the excavation face (tunnel face), performing excavations for installing steel ribs and wire mesh; * Clean and prepare the excavation face by removing loose material and debris; * Assist in rock drilling for explosive placement (where applicable); * Perform muck removal and loading of excavated material; Assist in installing containment systems, including: * Steel ribs; * Shotcrete; * Rock bolts and anchors; Operate equipment such as: * Drill rigs * Jackhammers Minimum Education: Elementary School (1st level)
