Ensures safety and proper functioning of the premises Custodian Position Description The Custodian is responsible for cleaning and maintaining environments, ensuring organization and proper functioning of public and private spaces. This professional proactively performs preventive maintenance, carries out minor repairs, and ensures site security. Responsibilities * Clean and organize environments such as rooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas. * Properly collect and dispose of waste in accordance with safety and sustainability standards. * Perform minor repairs, including replacing light bulbs, fixing faucets, and painting walls. * Monitor and control access of people and vehicles to ensure site security. * Maintain equipment and furniture, reporting maintenance needs. * Respond to requests from residents, visitors, and staff, providing courteous and efficient service. * Liaise with suppliers for purchasing cleaning and maintenance materials. * Attend training sessions and meetings to enhance skills and knowledge. * Comply with safety and hygiene regulations to ensure a healthy and safe environment for all. Requirements * Prior experience as a custodian or in similar roles * Basic knowledge of building maintenance * Attention to detail and strong organizational skills * Good communication skills and ability to interact effectively with customers and service providers * Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends
