Join Nexa and be part of a mining company that moves with the world! **Responsibilities and Duties** * Analyze and develop rock mechanics solutions, ensuring geotechnical stability and safety of underground operations; * Conduct geotechnical assessments, field inspections, and monitoring of rock masses, analyzing excavation performance and support systems; * Provide geotechnical parameters for mine design and planning, manage geomechanical liabilities, and implement risk mitigation plans; * Execute and oversee quality control (QA/QC) of installed supports; * Support the development and updating of geotechnical procedures and standards, ensuring compliance with NEXA’s corporate guidelines. **Requirements and Qualifications** * Experience in underground mining; * Specialization in Geotechnics applied to mining; * Knowledge of fundamentals and principles of rock mechanics; * Knowledge and experience applying empirical and numerical methods to validate excavation stability; * Understanding of operational interfaces for technical decision-making; * Strong interpersonal, influencing, communication, and motivational skills; * Commitment and enthusiasm for work, dedication to personal goals and to the team. **Desirable:** * Intermediate level English. **Additional Information** **Benefits:** * Medical assistance; * Dental assistance; * Chartered transportation; * On-site meals; * Meal allowance / food allowance; * Private pension plan; * Life insurance; * Leisure benefits; * Christmas bonus and toy allowance; * And more. ***Nexa believes in promoting a plural environment where everyone feels comfortable and at ease being themselves.*** We are one of the world’s largest zinc producers!
