As a **Frontend Software Engineer** at Mercado Livre, you will design and scale innovative and secure systems that solve real-world, high-impact problems. You will work in a dynamic environment leveraging cutting-edge technology, engineering best practices, proprietary AI models, and continuous learning—all aimed at democratizing e-commerce and financial services across Latin America.
Imagine\-yourself leading challenging, dynamic, and innovative projects and **being responsible for:**
* Leading "Cross" initiatives to facilitate integration and collaboration with other teams across analysis, solution design, development, testing, and deployment.
* Supporting the Product team in demand conception, feasibility studies, rollout strategies, and decision-making.
* Acting consultatively with the UX team to help build the best possible user experience for our customers, and gathering requirements from Product/UX while documenting decisions.
* Ensuring metrics are defined and used to propose product improvements and support application sustainability.
* Mentoring and supporting less experienced team members to assist with tasks and foster their technical growth.
**What we’re looking for in you?**
* Solid experience with React v.17\+, Node.js, Express, and/or JavaScript/TypeScript.
* Knowledge of Server\-Side Rendering (SSR) and client\-side performance optimization, plus expertise in CSS, HTML, and Accessibility best practices.
* Experience with unit testing—especially Jest and React Testing Library—and familiarity with principles such as SOLID, Clean Code, DRY, and KISS.
* Proficiency with version control tools (Git) and observability platforms (Datadog, Kibana, New Relic).
* Knowledge of resilience patterns such as Fault Tolerance and Circuit Breaker.
* Understanding of Design Patterns (Singleton, Factory, Observer, etc.) and interest or experience in Artificial Intelligence (Prompt Engineering, LLMs, RAG, MCP).
