Lead challenging, dynamic, and innovative projects As a **Data Engineer \- Analytics \& Machine Learning** at Mercado Livre, you will design and scale innovative and secure systems that solve real-world, high-impact problems. You will work in a dynamic environment leveraging cutting-edge technology, engineering best practices, proprietary AI models, and continuous learning — all aimed at democratizing e-commerce and financial services across Latin America. Imagine yourself leading challenging, dynamic, and innovative projects and **being responsible for:** * Conducting exploratory analyses and generating actionable insights to support decision-making. * Developing, validating, and deploying statistical and machine learning models. * Preparing and structuring data, performing data cleaning, transformation, and feature engineering. * Defining, monitoring, and analyzing performance metrics and KPIs. * Supporting experiment design and analysis, including A/B testing. * Documenting processes, ensuring version control and monitoring best practices, and collaborating with cross-functional teams (Data, Engineering, Product, and Business). **What we’re looking for in you?** * Proficiency in Python and strong SQL knowledge. * Experience with machine learning libraries (scikit\-learn, XGBoost, TensorFlow or similar) and applying statistics and predictive modeling. * Experience using Git and working in cloud environments; knowledge of MLOps and model deployment is a plus. * Demonstrated experience with large language models (LLMs), application of prompt engineering techniques, use of generative AI APIs, and understanding of Agentic AI concepts — including agent orchestration and LLM-based automation. **Are you excited to leave your mark on Latin America’s technology landscape?** Apply now and join our purpose!
