Manage the workshop department, coordinating maintenance activities both internally and in the field. Define maintenance schedules and priorities for machinery, implements, and vehicles, ensuring optimal utilization of human resources and equipment logistics. Manage and lead the team, providing theoretical and practical support. Conduct and monitor the department’s budget planning. Evaluate and approve requests for parts and services, covering both preventive and corrective maintenance, in alignment with farm management. Carry out other duties associated with the position. * Manage the workshop, tire repair, and lubrication department teams. * Coordinate and manage execution of all maintenance processes across operational fronts: planting, harvesting, and soil preparation. * Manage, control, and monitor parts requests, assessing needs for procurement or possible reuse of components to minimize maintenance costs. * Coordinate and oversee equipment inspection and maintenance requirements for damaged equipment, identifying priority items. * Coordinate and maintain the company’s machinery and implement assets, ensuring their proper organization and preservation, keeping them consistently in normal operating condition. * Coordinate and lead work teams in performing their functions through meetings, team training, and on-site supervision—applying methods designed to motivate staff and achieve satisfactory field operation results. * Identify, manage, and resolve operational problems within one’s area of expertise before, during, and after operations using equipment checklists and activity planning to achieve improved operational outcomes. * Assign and distribute tasks among work teams—including respective responsibilities and shift schedules—to ensure optimal distribution of field activities. * Lead and deliver safety guidance aligned with risks specific to each activity, maintaining workers’ focus during operations and preventing accidents. * Manage and monitor preservation of company assets (maintenance, cleaning, etc.) with quality and greater efficiency in task execution. * Broadly manage departmental activities and implementation of HR and occupational safety policies, aiming to safeguard employee well-being and ensure high team performance. * Participate in internal alignment meetings. * Jointly develop the annual maintenance plan with unit managers. * Assess and establish improvement measures for maintenance and preservation processes. * Conduct technical evaluation of the need for third-party maintenance services (agricultural implements, machinery, and vehicles) and supervise their execution. * Guide the convoy team and monitor scheduling of periodic inspections (oil changes, filter replacements, refueling).
