Our client is a construction and real estate development company seeking an occupational safety professional to join its team. We are looking for an Occupational Safety Technician to work for a construction company on large-scale vertical residential projects located in Itapema/SC. The professional will be responsible for overseeing occupational safety routines at construction sites and supporting administrative tasks related to documentation, third-party management, training, audits, and legal compliance. The role will involve vertical construction projects of approximately 25 to 50 floors, covering all project phases from foundation to finishing. **Key Responsibilities:** Monitor the proper use of PPEs and collective protective equipment (CPEs) at construction sites; Conduct scheduled weekly inspections and preventive monitoring of work fronts; Oversee critical activities such as working at heights, load handling, tower cranes, rack-and-pinion lifts, excavations, façade work, concrete pouring, and temporary electrical installations; Prepare and manage Risk Analysis Reports (APRs), Daily Safety Talks (DDS), checklists, technical reports, and photographic records; Conduct onboarding for new direct and third-party employees; Manage PPE distribution, replacement, and recordkeeping; Monitor and request documentation from contractors and service providers; Support the preparation, updating, and control of documents such as the Risk Management Program (PGR), Occupational Health Program (PCMSO), Technical Report on Working Conditions (LTCAT), work orders, and other applicable legal documents; Deliver safety training and guidance to site teams; Record non-conformities, issue notifications, and track corrective action plans; Follow up weekly on required corrections with foremen and contractors; Participate in site meetings, administrative meetings, and management meetings; Support internal audits, regulatory inspections, and legal requirements; Proactively identify hazards and continuously improve safety conditions; Halt unsafe activities whenever worker safety is at risk or safety regulations are violated. **Required Qualifications:** Completed Technical Course in Occupational Safety; Active registration with the Ministry of Labor and Employment (MTE); Minimum 2 years’ experience in civil construction; Proven experience in vertical construction projects; Hands-on experience with tower cranes, rack-and-pinion lifts, working at heights, façade work, concrete pouring, and general construction site routines; Knowledge of applicable Regulatory Standards (NRs), especially: NR\-01, NR\-06, NR\-10, NR\-12, NR\-18, NR\-35\. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, reporting, and photographic recordkeeping; Valid driver’s license. **Preferred Qualifications:** Experience in mid- to high-end vertical construction projects; Experience managing contractors, subcontractors, and service providers; Familiarity with Inmeta and Sienge systems; Experience conducting internal audits; Knowledge of quality and safety routines in construction companies; Strong ability to produce photographic reports and manage administrative controls. **Behavioral Competencies:** We seek a professional with a firm, proactive, and advisory attitude—someone who maintains active presence on-site and can lead occupational safety with organization, responsibility, and technical authority. Strong communication skills, proactivity, and sense of urgency are essential. Strong organizational skills for document management are required. Ability to enforce corrective actions with contractors and teams without causing conflict—demonstrating problem-solving skills and effective needs management.
