**Responsibilities and Duties**
* Perform blasting of metal surfaces using abrasives such as steel grit, aluminum oxide, or other specified materials.
* Prepare areas according to required cleanliness grades (e.g., SA 2½, SA 3\), in accordance with international standards (SSPC, NACE, ISO).
* Operate and adjust blasting equipment (pressure machines, blast booths, hoses, nozzles) safely and efficiently.
* Ensure cleaning and standardization of surface roughness for subsequent paint application.
* Identify and isolate sensitive areas or areas not intended for blasting (valves, connections, seals, etc.).
* Work in compliance with safety and environmental standards, especially in confined spaces or hard-to-access areas.
* Correctly use mandatory PPE for respiratory, hearing, eye, and body protection.
* Conduct preliminary visual inspections to verify blasting effectiveness.
* Support painting activities and area preparation as required by operational demand.
**Requirements and Qualifications**
Elementary education
Experience as a naval blasting technician.
Knowledge of blasting equipment (nozzles, bottles, triggers) and grit recovery systems;
