JOB DESCRIPTION Occupational Safety Technician RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: * Inspections and Audits: Conduct regular inspections of company facilities, machinery, and equipment to ensure working conditions comply with safety standards. * Documentation Development: Develop and update safety programs in coordination with the responsible company, including the Environmental Risk Prevention Program (PPRA), the Technical Report on Working Environmental Conditions (LTCAT), and other legally required documents. * Training: Deliver safety training and capacity-building sessions for employees on safe workplace practices, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), emergency procedures, and accident prevention, among others. * PPE Management: Manage and ensure appropriate distribution of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), guaranteeing that all employees use such equipment correctly. * Accident Investigation: Investigate workplace accidents, document incidents, and propose corrective and preventive actions to avoid recurrence. * Monitoring of Working Conditions: Continuously assess environmental working conditions—such as noise, heat, vibration, etc.—ensuring they remain within limits established by legislation. * Regulatory Standards (NRs): Ensure company compliance with all applicable Regulatory Standards (NRs), particularly NR-18 (Working Conditions and Environment in the Construction Industry), NR-12 (Safety in Machinery and Equipment Operations), and other relevant standards. * Reports and Indicators: Prepare periodic occupational safety reports with performance indicators, identifying key risks and actions taken to mitigate them. REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS: Driver’s License Category B * Education: Occupational Safety Technician with active registration at the Ministry of Labor and Employment (MTE). * Experience: Prior experience in this role, preferably in companies within the transportation, civil construction, or concrete sectors. * Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of Regulatory Standards (NRs), labor legislation related to occupational safety, and safety practices in construction environments. * Skills: Clear and effective communication ability, negotiation and conflict management skills, proactive problem identification and resolution, and proficiency in delivering training. * Additional Certifications: Certificates from specialized occupational safety courses will be considered a plus.
