Serve as the technical authority in architecture and ensure code quality We are looking for a Senior Tech Lead to drive the technical evolution of our Banking as a Service (BaaS) infrastructure. In this role, you will be the key contributor to building a platform that enables other companies to offer comprehensive financial services, ensuring our account, transfer, and banking service infrastructure is robust, secure, and highly scalable. **If you have deep experience in Fintechs, Digital Banks, or Acquirers and understand the challenges of building financial ecosystems via APIs, we want you on our team!** **Your responsibilities:** Hands-on Technical Leadership: Lead the engineering team in building the BaaS platform, serving as the technical authority in architecture and ensuring code quality through mentorship and code reviews. Banking Architecture: Develop and maintain Ledger systems, digital account management, and financial settlement engines. Multi-platform Ecosystem: Oversee the delivery of robust APIs powering both our web applications (React) and mobile apps, ensuring a seamless and secure experience across all channels. Strategic Integrations: Lead complex integrations with banking partners and KYC/AML and anti-fraud providers. Security and Compliance: Ensure the architecture meets stringent banking security standards, regulatory compliance requirements, and Central Bank regulations. Scalability and Resilience: Define strategies to handle high concurrency in critical systems, guaranteeing availability and real-time data consistency. **Mandatory Requirements:** Fintech Experience: Proven track record in Banking, Payments, Acquirers, or Digital Banks. Squad Leadership: Demonstrated experience as a Tech Lead or technical leader in product-oriented environments. Stack Proficiency: Strong expertise in Python for transactional backend systems. Frontend/Mobile Awareness: Experience with React and familiarity with the mobile application development lifecycle (App). API Architecture: Expertise in API-first design, REST/GraphQL, and microservices patterns tailored for financial products. Engineering Culture: Experience with CI/CD, observability (Datadog/New Relic), rigorous testing, and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP). Product Mindset: Ability to translate business partner needs into modular, flexible BaaS technical features. **Nice-to-Have (What Sets You Apart):** Ledger Knowledge: Experience with double-entry bookkeeping systems. Messaging and Events: Advanced experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or SQS for asynchronous transaction processing. Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth familiarity with Central Bank (Bacen) regulations (e.g., Payment/Financial Institution resolutions) and PCI DSS standards. Open Finance: Experience with security and communication standards of Brazil’s Open Finance ecosystem. Native/Hybrid Mobile: Additional knowledge of React Native or mobile development to understand security nuances in banking applications.
