Health, Safety and Environment Manager

MAGNA EXECUTIVE SEARCH, in partnership with a large-scale agro-industrial company located in the interior of São Paulo, is hiring: **Health, Safety and Environment Manager** **Responsibilities:** The professional we seek will be responsible for overseeing Occupational Health and Safety and Environmental Management, ensuring employees’ physical integrity, health and well-being, mitigating environmental impacts, contributing to the business’s sustainability and continuous process improvement—fully compliant with applicable legislation and the company’s internal standards and procedures. **Key responsibilities include:** * Defining guidelines and overseeing the implementation, maintenance and updating of the SSMA Management System, thereby supporting business results, maintaining a safe work environment and safeguarding the company’s reputation across all operations in Brazil; * Ensuring compliance with corporate environmental policies by monitoring and resolving potential issues, engaging with communities surrounding company facilities, and preventing reputational damage or negative exposure; * Conducting diverse studies related to Occupational Health and Safety and Environmental Management, examining and evaluating facilities, working conditions, operations, production processes, employee behaviors, material handling, inputs, equipment and other relevant factors—to assess the required level of intervention with staff and consequently develop and propose alternatives to reduce or neutralize accident risks; * Assessing, reviewing, controlling and monitoring the execution of construction projects/industrial changes or modifications to processes, equipment, technologies, work organization, resources, and the introduction of new production techniques—verifying their impact on personnel safety and ensuring appropriate alignment; * Enforcing and ensuring compliance with the company’s and regulatory occupational safety standards through periodic audits of procedures, behaviors and routines across departments; * Collaborating with senior management to define performance indicators for Occupational Health and Safety and Environmental Management, monitoring each indicator’s performance to achieve established targets; * Managing and motivating the team through effective human capital management—applying HR concepts and tools, as well as other relevant methodologies when necessary—to foster the development and enhancement of human potential under their supervision. **Requirements:** * Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Engineering, plus postgraduate qualification/MBA in Environmental Management and Occupational Safety; * Proven leadership experience managing teams within large national and multinational companies with strong safety cultures; * Solid expertise in project management, environmental legislation and national and international regulatory standards; * Extensive experience in industrial and multimodal logistics operations; * Familiarity with international maritime regulations is desirable; * Advanced proficiency in English is mandatory; * Full availability for domestic and international travel; * Willingness to relocate and work onsite in the interior of São Paulo.
