Responsibilities and Duties Operate backhoes according to defined operational guidelines and safety procedures; Drive light and heavy vehicles to meet site demands, adhering to designated routes and traffic regulations; Transport materials, equipment, and supplies among work fronts, yards, and assigned locations; Monitor and assist in loading/unloading operations, observing safe limits and conditions; Perform daily pre-shift inspections of vehicle and machine operating conditions; Carry out basic operational maintenance, such as checking oil, coolant, tire, and visual signaling system levels. Operate hydraulic attachments mounted on vehicles, per training and instructions received; Maintain constant awareness of personnel movement near operating machinery and vehicles; Mark hazardous areas, work fronts, and circulation routes per safety directives; Properly wear mandatory personal protective equipment (PPE) during all activities; Ensure cleanliness, preservation, and organization of vehicles and equipment under your responsibility; Report any anomalies, mechanical failures, or unsafe conditions immediately to direct leadership; Support verification, receipt, and delivery of materials and equipment when requested; Record or report operational incidents per internal site procedures; Strictly comply with internal safety, environmental, and occupational health regulations; Perform other duties related to this position, as directed by leadership, respecting the scope of the role. Requirements and Qualifications **Education:** Completed elementary school. **Fields:** Basic formal education.* ️⃣ Valid driver’s license categories C, D, or E; * ️⃣ Experience operating backhoes; * ️⃣ Experience driving heavy vehicles in construction environments; * ️⃣ Practical knowledge of operational safety standards and signage for construction sites and equipment operation (NR 12\); * ️⃣ Availability to work on-site as required by project demands. Desirable Qualifications * ️⃣ Experience operating rigid trucks (toco); * ️⃣ Experience in infrastructure, sanitation, or heavy construction projects; * ️⃣ Basic knowledge of preventive maintenance for machinery and vehicles.
