The Loss Prevention Manager is the professional responsible for leading and coordinating all loss prevention and mitigation activities within an organization—particularly in retail enterprises such as supermarkets, department stores, and distribution centers. Their objective is to protect company assets—including merchandise, cash, and resources—by preventing losses arising from breakage, theft, waste, and operational errors. They develop and implement strategies, policies, and training programs to minimize losses and ensure operational efficiency.
· Create and implement loss prevention policies and procedures across all areas of the company, ensuring adherence to best practices to minimize risks.
· Define preventive strategies to avoid losses related to internal and external theft, fraud, product breakage, and damage, ensuring proactive corporate action.
· Regularly analyze loss reports and metrics, identifying trends, root causes, and critical areas.
· Monitor the performance of loss prevention initiatives, adjusting strategies as necessary to achieve loss reduction targets.
· Lead and manage the loss prevention team—including auditors, security personnel, and inventory supervisors—ensuring all staff align with company objectives.
· Coordinate team activities, including surveillance of critical areas, implementation of security systems, and monitoring of operational procedures.
· Develop and deliver training to employees on loss prevention policies, raising awareness of the importance of following procedures and identifying risk situations.
· Train operational and sales teams on detecting and preventing fraud and theft, as well as proper handling of products to avoid breakage and damage.
· Ensure that operational processes—including receiving, storage, handling, and sale of products—are secure and compliant with loss prevention standards.
· Implement internal process improvements that reduce waste, breakage, and product damage.
· Implement and supervise electronic security systems—including surveillance cameras, alarms, and access control—to safeguard company assets.
· Collaborate with technology teams to ensure security systems remain updated and effective in monitoring and preventing theft and fraud.
· Monitor and identify primary sources of loss within the company—whether operational, financial, inventory-related, or product-related.
· Coordinate periodic audits and inventories, ensuring inventory accuracy and identifying discrepancies that may indicate losses or fraud.
· Supervise physical and accounting inventory analyses, investigating any discrepancies and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
· Conduct detailed investigations into loss incidents—including internal and external theft, fraud, or merchandise damage—identifying root causes and implementing preventive solutions.
Collaborate with the security team and, when necessary, with legal authorities to investigate and resolve significant loss cases.
· Manage the loss prevention department’s budget, allocating resources effectively to ensure security and prevention initiatives are executed efficiently and within budget.
· Invest in technologies and solutions that enhance loss prevention outcomes—such as surveillance systems, staff training, and operational process improvements.
· Collaborate closely with other departments—including operations, logistics, procurement, and human resources—to ensure alignment across teams toward loss prevention goals.
· Provide insights and recommendations based on loss analysis to support strategic decision-making—for example, purchasing policies and inventory control.

Compensation: R$6.550,00 – R$10.000,00 per month
