**Responsibilities and duties**
* Manage the corporate Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) strategy, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, labor legislation, and the organization’s internal guidelines;
* Ensure implementation, maintenance, and evolution of legal and corporate programs related to Occupational Safety and Medicine, such as PGR/PPRA, LTCAT, and PCMSO;
* Strategically collaborate with the Executive Board and leadership teams, providing technical advisory support on occupational risks, legal requirements, mitigation plans, and continuous improvement actions;
* Manage safety processes for construction projects, expansions, renovations, structural adaptations, physical layouts, and operational workflows;
* Define, monitor, and analyze strategic SESMT indicators, developing action plans aimed at reducing accidents, absenteeism, work-related absences, and labor liabilities;
* Lead corporate accident prevention, health promotion, quality-of-life, and safety culture strengthening programs;
* Ensure execution of campaigns, mandatory training sessions, SIPAT, ergonomic initiatives, workplace gymnastics, and other preventive activities;
* Manage internal and external audits, as well as inspections by public agencies, ensuring legal, technical, and documentary compliance;
* Guarantee investigation and analysis of occupational accidents and incidents, promoting corrective and preventive actions;
* Ensure proper management of legal information and records for the SESMT area, including CATs, technical reports, legal documentation, and corporate indicators;
* Manage contracts and suppliers related to SESMT, ensuring technical quality, cost control, and contractual compliance;
* Coordinate activities of Occupational Safety Technicians, occupational health professionals, and support teams across units and branches;
* Manage the area’s annual budget, monitoring expenses, investments, and opportunities for resource optimization;
* Collaborate integrally with Human Resources, Operations, and other leadership areas to support strategic decisions related to occupational health, safety, and sustainability;
* Promote environmental preservation and sustainability initiatives, ensuring proper waste management and compliance with environmental legislation;
* Participate in strategic definitions for the area, including organizational structure, team sizing, staffing movements, and succession planning;
* Prepare and present managerial and executive reports to support high-level decision-making;
* Perform other duties related to the role, as required by organizational needs.
**Requirements and qualifications**
* Bachelor’s degree in Administration, Engineering, Occupational Safety Engineering, Environmental Management, or related fields;
* Minimum of 7 years of experience in Health, Safety, and Environment, with strategic SESMT management expertise;
* Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams and corporate Occupational Safety and Medicine management;
* Solid knowledge of labor legislation, regulatory norms, and legal programs such as PGR/PPRA, LTCAT, and PCMSO;
* Experience conducting audits, inspections, indicator management, and liaising with regulatory bodies;
* Postgraduate degree or specialization in Occupational Safety Engineering, Environmental Management, or related fields is desirable;
* Experience working for large-scale enterprises and multi-sector operations is desirable.
