As a **Software Engineer Backend** at Mercado Livre, you will design and scale innovative and secure systems that solve real-world, high-impact problems. You will work in a dynamic environment leveraging cutting-edge technology, applying engineering best practices, proprietary AI models, and continuous learning—all aimed at democratizing e-commerce and financial services across Latin America. Imagine yourself leading challenging, dynamic, and innovative projects and being **responsible for:** * Implementing, testing, and maintaining software with a primary focus on scalability, using GenAI tools and SDD (Spec Driven Development) methodologies to concentrate on architecture while technology accelerates execution. * Supporting "cross-functional" initiatives by facilitating integration, navigating the unknown, and autonomously finding solutions across analysis, development, and deployment activities. * Ensuring metrics are defined around what you can control (Circle of Influence), and using them to propose continuous improvements. * Acting as an "Evangelist", providing mentoring and support to less-experienced colleagues—being a "Conveyor Belt Person" whose energy and initiative drive the team's technical evolution. * Independently defining and driving technical initiatives with orthogonal thinking, ensuring innovative solutions. **What we’re looking for in you?** * Experience with programming languages such as Golang, Java, and/or .Net, and a desire to operate as an "AI-Native", orchestrating AI tools daily. * Solid knowledge of REST APIs and the HTTP protocol. * Familiarity with relational and non-relational databases, such as MySQL and MongoDB. * Knowledge of messaging topics and queues, such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, and Google Pub/Sub. * Familiarity with observability tools, such as New Relic, Datadog, Kibana, and Grafana. * Proactive mindset and ability to take full ownership of challenges. **Are you excited to leave your mark on Latin America’s technology landscape?** Apply now and join our mission!
