**Container Inspector** We are seeking a Container Inspector to work in Rio Grande. **Primary Duties and Responsibilities:** * Open the container to identify odors or toxic materials; * Inspect the container (identify damage to floor cross-members, holes, dents, broken floors, oil stains, and rust) and enter data into the computerized system via the data collector; * Perform the light test (identify damage to door seals and holes in the structure); * Reclassify container standards—upgrade / downgrade (coffee / food, general cargo); * Identify damage caused by third parties and determine whether charges will apply (e.g., broken floor and dirt); * Complete the EIR (Equipment Interchange Report—container return document); * Identify tilting or other damage to corner castings (corner fittings used to lift containers). **Required Qualifications:** * Completed high school education; * Knowledge of inspection and repair; * Basic Microsoft Office package; * Technical English; * Knowledge of NR 1, NR 6, and NR 35; * Flexible working hours.
