This includes answering questions, assisting with inquiries and complaints, and ensuring customers feel satisfied with the service received; * Operate the cash register quickly and efficiently, handling customers’ financial transactions—including product charges and change—ensuring all items have been scanned. The Store Operator must possess strong mathematical calculation skills and be proficient in handling various payment methods, such as cash, credit and debit cards, and meal vouchers; * Keep shelves consistently stocked, organized, and clean, ensuring efficient merchandise restocking and maintaining up-to-date inventory according to the store layout. The Store Operator must also monitor product expiration dates and remove expired items; * Identify product prices and update them in accordance with store promotions and discounts. The operator must also be prepared to handle pricing disputes when a customer challenges a product’s price; * Maintain the store’s cleanliness and organization—including the checkout area, counters, and shelves—and ensure storage areas and stockrooms remain tidy and well-organized to facilitate easy product access; * Be agile, proactive, and able to work under pressure, calmly and professionally managing stressful situations such as checkout lines and dissatisfied customers.
