Molding Operator - 1st Shift (Monday to Saturday)

Job Summary: Responsible for preparing and operating molding machines, ensuring quality and productivity in accordance with established standards. Key Highlights: 1. Prepares and operates molding machines, inspecting molds This position is responsible for the preparation and operation of molding machines, positioning and securing parts and cores onto the (automatic) machine according to Foundry Technical Data Sheets (FTFU) and Work Instructions (ITs), followed by machine programming and initiation of the molding process per FTFU, aiming to meet established quality and productivity standards. **Responsibilities and Duties** * Perform MPO (Maintenance Performed by Operator) on machines, assessing general machine operating conditions before startup and at each shift to ensure the machine is fully operational * Comply with occupational safety regulations as well as Integrated Quality Management procedures, aiming to safeguard employees' physical integrity * Provide inputs, tooling, and cores required for the molding process as specified in the project folder and system, evaluating the condition of tooling and cores to proactively request maintenance when necessary, ensuring availability of inputs, tooling, and cores in optimal condition for the molding process * Prepare and operate molding machines, positioning and securing parts and sand cores onto automatic and/or manual machines according to Foundry Technical Data Sheets (FTFU) and Work Instructions (ITs), followed by machine programming and initiation of the molding process, aiming to meet established quality and productivity standards * Conduct visual inspection of molds and internal cores, verifying conformity with FTFU prior to forwarding to the next department, indicating whether approved or rejected/discarded * Perform mold stripping, preparation, cleaning, painting, and closure, evaluating the quality and performance of sand cores and molds * Perform other related tasks such as mold and test block identification, and recording executed activities on production sheets and checklists * Adhere to organization and cleanliness standards **Requirements and Qualifications** * Completed elementary education * Basic knowledge of technical drawing interpretation is desirable **Additional Information** **Benefits Offered:** **On-site cafeteria (R$ 2.61 per meal**) Group life insurance UNIMED Health Plan (Company covers 100% of the monthly premium for the employee after a 3-month probationary period) On-site clinic and occupational physician Free parking for bicycles, motorcycles, and cars Pharmacy partnership PPR – Profit Sharing Program (paid **twice per year**) Transportation allowance Leisure area and kiosk Altona Library "Conta Comigo" Program (Financial consulting, psychological support, legal guidance, nutritional consultation, social assistance) AACA – Altona Athletic and Cultural Association (sports gymnasium, soccer fields, beach volleyball courts) **And more:** Internal growth opportunities Long-service recognition award Internal events and celebrations Scholarship program (per current internal policy) **Working Hours:** * 1st Shift \- Monday to Friday, 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM; Saturdays, 5:00 AM to 9:00 AM Electro Aço Altona S.A. was founded on March 8, 1924, as a small foundry and mechanical repair shop.
