Key responsibilities include: * Develop, update, and control project schedules based on approved scope, identifying the critical path, key milestones, and interdependencies among activities. * Prepare, analyze, and update S-curves for schedules and notable services, ensuring accurate representation of planned and actual physical progress, as well as consistency with schedules and management reports. * Define, structure, and maintain up-to-date planning foundations, including assumptions, constraints, criteria for measuring physical progress, calendars, construction logic, productivity, and contractual milestones. * Ensure integration among schedule, budget, and resource plan, guaranteeing consistency between planning and control. * Monitor physical and financial progress of projects, identifying schedule deviations and proposing corrective and preventive actions. * Perform performance analysis using planning indicators such as SPI (Schedule Performance Index), as well as trend analyses and schedule forecasts. * Prepare management and executive progress reports, highlighting deviations, trends, schedule risks, and critical project areas. * Monitor and report schedule KPIs, presenting clear, evidence-based recommendations to stakeholders. * Actively participate in planning and monitoring meetings with internal and external teams, promoting alignment across involved departments. * Collaborate closely with engineering, procurement, contracts, cost, and risk departments, ensuring adherence of planning to the overall project schedule. * Implement and disseminate best practices, methodologies, and planning standards aligned with company guidelines. * Develop and implement tools, templates, and processes that optimize schedule management and planning governance. * Monitor integration and consistency of schedules across multiple concurrent projects, ensuring a consolidated portfolio view. * Regularly update schedules to reflect trends, scope changes, replanning, or strategic adjustments. * Provide accurate, reliable, and up-to-date information on project progress to support tactical and strategic decision-making. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; Proven experience in planning and controlling complex projects within engineering, infrastructure, mining, or heavy industry environments; Advanced proficiency in planning tools—particularly Microsoft Project—applied to construction and schedule control; Experience preparing management and executive reports for stakeholders at various levels; Experience defining and monitoring planning performance indicators (KPIs); Knowledge of project management best practices and methodologies (e.g., PMI, AACE, or similar); Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills with multidisciplinary teams; Proactive, organized, results-oriented profile with systemic vision of projects and portfolios; Advanced Excel; Advanced Power BI; Experience with 4D planning is a plus; Company Description AFRY is a leading European engineering, design, and consulting services company with global reach.
