Our global presence and impressive portfolio foster diverse opportunities for growth, learning, stable development, and fair rewards. **Job Title:** Occupational Safety Technician - Mid-Level **Location:** Pouso Alegre, MG – 100% On-site **Reports to:** EHS Coordinator As a **Mid-Level Occupational Safety Technician**, you will be responsible for implementing and ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations, conducting inspections, operational follow-ups, and training, guaranteeing employees' physical integrity and compliance with legal requirements. **Responsibilities** * Conduct safety inspections in operational areas, machines, equipment, and facilities * Develop and monitor corrective and preventive action plans for HSE * Support the implementation and monitoring of legal programs such as PPRA/PGR, PCMSO, LTCAT, AET, APR, and other related programs * Investigate accidents and incidents, preparing technical reports and proposing corrective measures * Deliver mandatory operational training (applicable NRs) * Control and supervise the use of PPE and collective protective equipment (EPC), maintaining updated records * Support internal and external occupational safety audits * Issue and manage Work Permits (WPs) and monitor high-risk activities (working at heights, confined spaces, welding, LPG, etc.) * Assist in onboarding new employees, emphasizing safe practices and company policies * Implement programs and guidelines from the SEAL system * Perform other related duties **Requirements** * Completed technical degree in Occupational Safety (active registration with MTE) * Previous experience in Occupational Safety, preferably in industrial settings * Solid knowledge of NRs (especially 01, 06, 09, 10, 12, 18, 20, 23, 33, 35) * Field experience in routine inspections and monitoring of construction sites or industrial operations * Strong communication skills and ability to conduct training sessions * Basic proficiency in management tools (Excel, reports, electronic checklists) Newell Brands (NASDAQ: NWL) is a leading global consumer goods company with a strong portfolio of well-known brands, including Rubbermaid, Sharpie, Graco, Coleman, Rubbermaid Commercial Products, Yankee Candle, Paper Mate, FoodSaver, Dymo, EXPO, Elmer’s, Oster, NUK, Spontex and Campingaz.
