The professional will be responsible for developing new projects as well as maintaining and enhancing our existing web applications, ensuring performance, scalability, and an excellent user experience. You will have autonomy to solve complex problems and will work in an environment that values good software engineering practices and collaboration**.** **Responsibilities and Duties:** * **New Project Development:** Participate in the design and implementation of new features and products from scratch, applying industry best practices. * **Maintenance and Evolution:** Maintain existing systems by identifying bottlenecks, fixing bugs, and refactoring code to ensure scalability and quality. * **Backend:** Develop robust and high-performance APIs primarily using Ruby on Rails. * **Frontend:** Build responsive and dynamic interfaces using React with TypeScript and JavaScript. * **Databases:** Ensure efficiency in data modeling and query optimization for MySQL and PostgreSQL. * **Collaboration:** Work closely with cross-functional teams (Product, Design, QA) to define, design, and deliver features that create value. * **Quality:** Implement automated tests and participate in Code Reviews to ensure solution stability. **Required Qualifications (hard skills)** To succeed in this role, you must have proficiency in: * **Languages:** Ruby, JavaScript, TypeScript. * **Frameworks:** Ruby on Rails, React. * **Databases/Cache:** MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis. * **Version Control:** Git. * **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields (completed or in progress). **Preferred Qualifications (Nice to have)** It will be a significant advantage if you have knowledge of: * Legacy and Mobile: ExtJS, React Native. * Infrastructure and Cloud: AWS, GCP, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes. * Observability and Search: ElasticSearch, NewRelic. * DevOps and Tools: GitHub Actions, CI/CD, GitHub Copilot. * Testing and Documentation: Minitest, RSpec, Swagger/OpenAPI. * Architecture and Security: Microservices, SSO. **Behavioral Profile** * **Autonomy and Ownership Mindset:** Ability to self-manage, organize, and focus on results. * **Problem Solving:** Strong logical reasoning and attention to detail to systematically tackle technical challenges. * **Communication:** Clarity in exchanging feedback and collaborating effectively within an agile team. * **Continuous Learning:** Technical curiosity to explore new tools and continuously improve.
