Technical and methodological reference within the Integration Department **Job Description** **This position requires on-site work in Juiz de Fora or Contagem, MG.** **Who will you work with?** The Integration Department is responsible for ensuring that key project phases are completed with quality, on schedule, and aligned with our customers' requirements. The Systems Integration Engineer role plays a critical supporting role to the Technical Project Manager in system architecture definition and project execution, as well as interfacing with the testing team to ensure proper validation of PTC solution components. **How will you make a difference?** As a Systems Integration Engineer, you will hold a strategic position covering technical leadership across teams involved in the development, validation, and implementation of Wabtec's PTC projects. You will be instrumental in ensuring that various products under development align with project requirements and perform effectively in their respective functions within the PTC system. The Systems Integration Engineer will also maintain close collaboration with the integrated testing team, ensuring the production environment is accurately replicated within Wabtec’s laboratory infrastructure to enable efficient and high-quality validation of products according to Wabtec standards. **What do we want to know about you?** * Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields. * Effective oral and written communication skills; ability to express ideas clearly and concisely, appropriate to the audience. * Self-motivated, with demonstrated ability to work independently and exhibit strong leadership and teamwork skills. * Ability to build high levels of credibility and positive relationships with subordinates, peers, and managers. * Technical writing proficiency. * Familiarity with current railway industry rules and regulations. * Familiarity with train control system design practices. * Knowledge of workload distribution and effort tracking for tasks executed by team members. * Knowledge of software architecture. * Experience in developing functional project requirements. * Experience in QA processes and software validation. * Ability to guide cross-functional teams and foster interdepartmental collaboration. * Advanced English communication skills (oral and written). * Critical analytical thinking and complex problem-solving capabilities. **What will your day-to-day look like?** * Perform design and quality activities to deliver the PTC solution agreed upon with the customer. * Coordinate design and software submissions/distributions. * Ensure change management is properly communicated across design, development, and quality teams. * Conduct periodic design reviews. * Develop requirements to guide development, testing, and commissioning teams. * Ensure all quality processes and stages have been completed. * Manage integration testing and lead defect management and resolution. * Monitor project success against quality goals, schedule, and customer requirements, making necessary adjustments to meet expectations. * Coordinate field testing. * Serve as the technical and methodological reference within the Integration Department. * Promote continuous improvement through metric analysis, bottleneck identification, and solution proposal. * Directly support global teams in release planning, integrations, and test cycles. * Share knowledge with the team, fostering a culture of continuous learning. **Benefits:** At Wabtec, people come first.
