Learn more about the bank and all our services at https://www.abcbrasil.com.br **Responsibilities and Duties** **Responsibilities and Duties** * Technical Leadership and Solution Design: Serve as the primary technical reference for multidisciplinary teams (Tribes/Squads), designing complex, end-to-end architectural solutions supporting mission-critical financial products. * Guardian of Corporate Architecture: Define, document, and evolve our Reference Architectures, Design Patterns, and ADRs (Architecture Decision Records). Ensure teams operate autonomously while remaining aligned with established guardrails. * Hands-on Development and Prototyping (PoCs): Get involved directly to build Proofs of Concept (PoCs) and MVPs for new technologies, frameworks, or architectural patterns before scaling them across engineering. * Resolution of Complex Problems: Act as a *troubleshooter* during critical incidents or performance bottlenecks, conducting deep analysis from code to infrastructure to identify optimizations and enhance stability. * Mentoring and Raising the Technical Bar: Mentor Tech Leads, Architects, Staff Engineers, and Senior Developers. Help disseminate a culture of technical excellence, Clean Code, and software engineering within Banco ABC. * Technical Debt Management and Modernization: Identify systemic components posing risk or bottlenecks, proposing and leading viable modernization strategies (e.g., Strangler Fig Pattern) for migrating monoliths and legacy systems to distributed architectures. * Business–Technology Alignment: Translate complex business requirements and constraints (e.g., Central Bank regulations, compliance, time-to-market) into secure, resilient, and highly available architectural designs. * Technical Representation: Serve as an internal and external technology ambassador for Banco ABC in guild forums, architecture committees, and technical communities. **Requirements and Qualifications** **Technical Requirements and Experience:** * Strong prior background as a Senior/Staff Software Engineer and proven experience as a Solutions/Software Architect in complex corporate environments. * Direct people management (HR) experience is NOT required; however, extensive experience in technical leadership, influence, and team cultural alignment is mandatory. * Deep expertise in designing Distributed Architectures (SOA, Microservices, Event-Driven Architecture) and strategies for coexistence/de-coupling of monolithic systems. * Solid experience building and evolving Corporate and Solutions Architecture visions, with familiarity with frameworks (e.g., TOGAF — certification not required, but conceptual understanding essential) and design methodologies (Domain-Driven Design — DDD, Hexagonal, Clean Architecture). * Proficiency across multiple modern and legacy languages/ecosystems, with emphasis on Java (Spring Boot, Quarkus) and/or C# (.NET Core).
