The **Commercial Production** area is the engine that orchestrates Porto’s sales execution and leverage tools. We are responsible for solutions serving managers, sales teams, and insurance brokers alike—centralizing the multi-product experience (Auto, Life, Credit Card, etc.) into a single ecosystem. We manage a robust portfolio of systems, apps, and integrations, overseeing highly critical processes such as commission payments. Our challenge is to ensure the stability of these operations while leading the technological modernization that fuels Porto’s growth. This is a strategic role: you will be responsible for the systems processing our brokers’ sales and payments—with the real-world challenge of maintaining what works while paving the way for technological modernization. **Responsibilities and Duties** * **Development and Maintenance:** Participate in the full Java development lifecycle, ensuring accurate execution of business rules for sales and payments. * **Legacy Modernization:** Support the transition from highly coupled systems to more modern architectures (Microservices/Cloud). * **Code Quality:** Conduct code reviews, apply best development practices, and ensure adherence to security standards. * **Troubleshooting:** Actively identify issues and resolve production incidents. * **Technical Consultation:** Collaborate with the business team to understand strategic demands and translate them into viable technical solutions. * **Data Focus:** Handle and optimize integrations with Oracle and Informix databases. **What sets this role apart?** You’ll be prepared to become the future technical reference for your squad, supported by experienced leaders to accelerate your career. **Requirements and Qualifications** **Education:** Completed undergraduate degree in IT or related fields. **Java Experience:** Solid knowledge of **Java (versions 6, 7, and 8\)**. **Databases:** Experience with **Oracle (PL/SQL)** and knowledge/practical exposure to **Informix** (procedures, triggers, views). **Front-end Stack:** Knowledge of **JavaScript** and **AngularJS (1\.x through 4\.x)**. **Desirable:** Familiarity with .NET/C\#, Azure Development, Spring, Kubernetes, and 4GL language (Informix/Progress).
