Job Summary: Technical analyst focused on Google Cloud environment optimization, incident management, capacity planning, and knowledge transfer. Key Highlights: 1. Well-Architected Reviews 2. Technical Workshops and Enablement **Description:** ---------------- **Key Responsibilities:** * Well\-Architected Reviews: Periodically analyze the customer's environment focusing on Security, Reliability, Performance, and Cost, suggesting technical optimizations. * Critical Incident Management: Serve as the escalation point during critical failures (Sev1/Sev2\), facilitating communication between GCP support and the customer's technical team. * Capacity Planning: Help customers prepare for high-traffic events (e.g., Black Friday), ensuring quota availability and automatic scalability. * Technical Workshops and Enablement: Organize knowledge-transfer sessions on new tools (e.g., Anthos, Cloud Run) for the customer's engineering team. * Cost Optimization (Technical Focus): Identify idle resources (zombies), recommend Committed Use Discounts (CUDs) and spot instances to reduce the technical bill. **Requirements:** ----------------- * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience. * Proficiency in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) * Core Infrastructure: In-depth knowledge of Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, VPC (Networking), Load Balancing, and IAM (Identity Management). * Application Modernization: Strong experience with Containers (Docker) and Orchestration (Kubernetes/GKE). GKE is Google’s flagship offering; the TAM must master it. * Serverless \& PaaS: Understanding of Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, and App Engine. * Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficiency in Terraform. The TAM must be able to read and suggest corrections to provisioning scripts. * Scripting: Basic reading and writing ability in Python or Go for operational task automation. * Observability: Experience with Cloud Operations (formerly Stackdriver), Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog for monitoring and logging. * Migration: Proven experience in on\-premises to cloud migration projects (Lift \& Shift vs. Re\-platforming strategies). * Solid networking knowledge (DNS, TCP/IP, VPN, Interconnect). * DevSecOps practices and CI/CD pipelines (Cloud Build, Jenkins, GitLab). * Ability to conduct reviews based on the Google Cloud Architecture Framework (Security, Reliability, Cost, Performance). **Desired:** * Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect certification Do you identify with this opportunity?
