Contingency response and rapid incident handling Responsible for executing and monitoring operational activities of water supply systems during the night shift at the Ouricuri regional office. Ensures continuity of supply, control of treatment processes, and operational stability of facilities, with special attention to rapid response to incidents occurring outside administrative hours. **Responsibilities and Duties** * Operate water supply facilities and systems (intake structures, water treatment plants [WTPs], pumping stations, reservoirs, and distribution networks), ensuring continuity and quality of supply. * Perform routine operational procedures including equipment startup/shutdown, valve operations, and operational adjustments per established procedures. * Monitor operational and quality parameters (e.g., turbidity, residual chlorine, pH, flow rates, water levels), recording readings and incidents. * Perform chemical dosing and preparation where applicable, adhering to safety, traceability, and operational standards. * Conduct routine inspections, identify anomalies, and notify maintenance/automation teams as required. * Support sampling activities and interface with laboratory/quality departments to ensure compliance with sampling plans. * Record activities in reports, checklists, and systems to ensure traceability and smooth shift handover. * Comply with safety, environmental, and quality regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and work procedures. **Requirements and Qualifications** * Completed high school education; technical training in Sanitation, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Mechanics, Electrical Engineering, or related fields is desirable. * Experience operating WTPs, pumping stations, reservoirs, or water supply systems; experience in sanitation/utilities is preferred. * Basic knowledge of water treatment processes, pump and valve operation, and measurement instruments. * Attention to recordkeeping, operational discipline, and ability to respond effectively in contingency situations. * Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team. * Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or operational reporting systems. * Availability to work rotating shifts/night shifts and on-call duties, where applicable. * Valid Brazilian driver’s license (Category B); willingness to travel between operational units. * Willingness to work onsite in Ouricuri/PE. **Additional Information** **BENEFITS:** Medical assistance; Dental assistance; Life insurance; Transportation allowance; Meal voucher and/or food allowance; Profit-sharing program (PLR); **VITA Sertão** is the sanitation concessionaire established to drive development in the Pernambuco Sertão region.
