Job Summary:
Responsible for physical-chemical and microbiological analyses of sewage/effluents, ensuring quality, regulatory compliance, and proper functioning of treatment systems.

Responsible for conducting physical\-chemical and microbiological analyses on sewage and effluent samples, ensuring quality monitoring, compliance with environmental regulations, and proper operation of treatment systems.
**Responsibilities and Duties*** Perform physical\-chemical, microbiological, and operational laboratory analyses on sewage/effluent samples according to procedures, sampling plans, and applicable legal requirements.
* Carry out sample collection, preservation, preparation, identification, and traceability, ensuring reliability of obtained results.
* Operate, verify, and maintain laboratory equipment, glassware, reagents, standards, and consumables.
* Record results, analytical controls, calibrations, non-conformities, and other technical information in company forms and systems.
* Support the evaluation of trends, deviations, and out-of-specification results, promptly reporting occurrences to responsible departments.
* Comply with quality, biosafety, occupational safety, and appropriate disposal procedures for laboratory waste.
* Support audits, proficiency testing, method standardization, and laboratory quality control routines.
* Collaborate with operations, quality, and environmental teams to support monitoring of sanitation systems.
**Requirements and Qualifications*** Completed technical course in Chemistry, Sanitation, Environmental Science, Clinical Analysis, Biotechnology, or related fields.
* Experience in sewage/effluent laboratories, quality control, or analytical monitoring—preferably in sanitation, industry, food, chemicals, or environmental sectors.
* Knowledge of sampling techniques, sample preparation, good laboratory practices, traceability, and analytical quality control.
* Familiarity with analytical methods applicable to water and/or effluent quality control is desirable.
* Organizational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to result reliability.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel), laboratory recordkeeping, and report generation.
* Availability for on-site work in Petrolina/PE and, when necessary, shift work or travel between units.
* Professional registration (e.g., CRQ Active) and driver’s license category B are desirable.
