Experian is also proud to be an equal opportunity employer committed to affirmative action. **Job Description** ------------------- * Develop high-quality software solutions using **Continuous Delivery** practices to deliver value to customers quickly, safely, and efficiently. * Collaborate within multidisciplinary, results-oriented, and collaborative teams to build robust, scalable, and resilient solutions. * Design, develop, and evolve **large-scale backend services** based on microservices architectures. * Apply technologies, standards, and best practices in software engineering to solve business challenges with quality, performance, and resilience. * Use **DevOps** tools and practices for automation, development, configuration, monitoring, and operation of services. * Participate in the full software development lifecycle — from solution conception through implementation, maintenance, and continuous evolution. * Build resilient, performant, secure, well-structured, and thoroughly tested features, adhering to product guidelines and defined technical standards. * Document, maintain, and optimize technical specifications, components, modules, source code, and other artifacts related to developed solutions. * Conduct **Code Reviews**, promoting development best practices, code quality, and knowledge sharing across squad members. * Participate in planning and tracking deliveries, contributing estimates, scope definitions, timelines, and priorities. * Ensure quality, scalability, reliability, and maintainability of developed applications and services. * Collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders, communicating technical information clearly, concisely, and appropriately for the target audience. * Actively participate in the **Backend Chapter**, strengthening the technical community through presentations, mentoring, documentation, articles, proof-of-concepts, and knowledge sharing. * Demonstrate resilience in ambiguous and complex scenarios, analyzing problems from multiple perspectives and proposing effective, innovative solutions. * Behavioral Competencies: * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Collaborative mindset with strong orientation toward teamwork. * Ability to work autonomously with a strong sense of ownership. * Analytical thinking and problem-solving focus. * Adaptability and resilience in dynamic environments. * Commitment to quality, innovation, and continuous improvement. **Qualifications** ------------------ * Solid experience developing backend applications using **Java** and modern frameworks such as **Spring Boot** and/or **Quarkus**, with emphasis on scalability, performance, and high availability. * Proficiency in designing, developing, and maintaining **RESTful APIs**, applying best practices in architecture, security, versioning, and documentation. * Experience with cloud computing services, preferably **AWS**, including concepts of distributed architecture, scalability, and resilience. * Practical knowledge of **containerization** and application orchestration using **Docker** and **Kubernetes**. * Hands-on experience with **event-driven architecture** and messaging solutions such as **Apache Kafka, Amazon SQS, and Amazon SNS**. * Experience with **relational and/or non-relational databases**, including data modeling, query optimization, and data persistence best practices. * Familiarity with **observability and monitoring tools**, such as **Datadog, Splunk, or Dynatrace**, for performance analysis, log review, and troubleshooting. * Experience with **code quality and static analysis tools**, such as **SonarQube**, promoting development best practices and maintaining code health. * Experience working in agile environments using methodologies such as **Scrum**, **Kanban**, or similar. * Knowledge of software engineering practices, including automated testing, continuous integration (CI), and continuous delivery (CD). Differentiators * Experience developing in **Python** and frameworks such as **FastAPI, Flask, or Django**. * Knowledge or professional experience with **Golang (Go)**. * Experience in large-scale microservices architectures. * Certifications related to **AWS**, Kubernetes, or Java development. * Experience with observability practices, SRE (Site Reliability Engineering), and DevOps culture.
