**About the Position**
The Permanent Way Assistant will work directly on railway track maintenance and preservation, contributing to the safety of railway operations and ensuring appropriate track conditions.
**Responsibilities and Duties** **Main Responsibilities:**
* Conduct foot inspections along the railway line to identify potential irregularities;
* Perform minor permanent way repairs according to technical guidance;
* Support and accompany track maintenance teams;
* Contribute to the preservation and maintenance of railway infrastructure (rails, sleepers, fastenings, and ballast);
* Work under diverse weather conditions while strictly adhering to safety standards;
* Follow internal procedures, operational standards, and safety regulations.
**Requirements and Qualifications** **Education:**
* High school diploma
**Desirable Qualifications:**
* Prior experience in operational or maintenance activities;
* Experience in a railway or civil construction environment.
