**Position: Cargo Scheduler / Logistics Programmer**
**Job Mission**
Plan, schedule, and control cargo and vehicles for both owned and affiliated fleets, ensuring route optimization, adherence to delivery deadlines, and reduction of operational costs—while aligning commercial, operational, and legal requirements.
**Main Responsibilities**
* Receive and analyze transportation orders, defining priorities and deadlines.
* Schedule cargo based on fleet and driver availability.
* Develop and adjust routes, considering distance, time, legal restrictions, and costs.
* Ensure compliance with driver working-hour regulations (Driver’s Law).
* Monitor trip status and make necessary adjustments to the schedule.
* Maintain contact with drivers to coordinate itineraries, schedules, and changes.
* Record and update information in the logistics management system.
* Analyze performance indicators (on-time deliveries, vehicle utilization, costs).
* Collaborate with commercial and operational departments to align requirements and deadlines.
* Prevent and resolve contingencies such as delays, vehicle breakdowns, and vehicle unavailability.
**Requirements**
* Technical or undergraduate degree in Logistics, Administration, or related fields (preferred).
* Prior experience in cargo scheduling, logistics, or transportation.
* Proficiency in logistics management systems (TMS) and Microsoft Office suite.
* Familiarity with transportation regulations and driver working-hour legislation.
* Ability to read and interpret maps and routing plans.
* Flexibility to work non-standard hours, according to operational demand.
