VT/PT Inspector

Description

Job Summary: A professional responsible for performing visual inspections and non-destructive testing on welds to ensure quality and compliance with technical standards. Key Highlights: 1. Performs visual inspections and non-destructive testing on welds (VT and PT) 2. Issues technical inspection reports and interprets engineering drawings 3. Works in compliance with applicable standards and codes (ASME, AWS, ABNT) **Responsibilities:** * Conduct visual inspections of welds (VT), identifying potential discontinuities, cracks, porosity, lack of fusion, or other non-conformities. * Perform non-destructive testing (NDT) using liquid penetrant (PT), applying, removing, and developing the penetrant according to technical standards. * Prepare surfaces and materials for testing, ensuring appropriate conditions for analysis. * Issue technical inspection reports, documenting results, photographic evidence, and assessments regarding weld quality. * Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, manufacturing standards, and acceptance criteria. * Work in compliance with applicable standards and codes (ASME, AWS, ABNT, NR\-13, among others). * Support quality control of welding materials and processes, suggesting adjustments when necessary. **Requirements and Qualifications:** * Completed technical high school education in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, Welding, Electromechanical Engineering, or related fields. * NDT certification **Level II in VT (Weld Visual Testing)** and **Level II in PT (Liquid Penetrant Testing)** issued by **SNQC/ABNT (FBTS)** or equivalent. * Knowledge of other NDT methods (MT, UT, RT, TOFD) is considered a plus. **Benefits:** We offer an attractive benefits package, including various advantages that promote employee well-being and satisfaction.
