Description
**About the position**
We are seeking a **Senior Occupational Safety Technician** to work alongside operations, with strong field presence, supporting leadership and ensuring the execution of OSH routines. This role requires a proactive, hands-on profile with excellent communication skills—capable of engaging people and positively influencing behaviors and processes on a daily basis.
**Responsibilities and Activities**
* Conduct safety inspections and support leadership in addressing deviations and risks, focusing on practical and immediate solutions.
* Directly prevent hazards related to machinery, equipment, and material handling, aligned with **NR-11 and NR-12** guidelines.
* Lead Daily Safety Dialogues (DDS), educational campaigns, and on-site guidance, adapting communication to the audience to ensure understanding and engagement.
* Investigate accidents and near-misses using a technical approach, identifying root causes and proposing effective, implementable action plans.
* Support and maintain OSH routines, including GRO, PGR, APR, PT (where applicable), PPE management, and internal procedures.
* Organize and deliver safety training, onboarding sessions, and refresher courses, with ease in conveying knowledge clearly and didactically.
* Monitor OSH indicators, ensuring proper organization of evidence, records, and required documentation.
* Provide initial response and first aid in case of incidents or accidents, appropriately referring individuals to the clinic or medical service, mobilizing internal resources, and documenting the event per procedure.
**Mandatory Requirements**
* Technical qualification in Occupational Safety, with active registration at the professional regulatory body.
* Practical experience in OSH within operational, industrial, or manufacturing environments.
* Solid knowledge of Regulatory Standards, with emphasis on **NR-11 and NR-12**.
* Proficiency in risk management routines such as GRO and PGR.
* Competence in Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint) for developing controls, reports, and indicators.
* A **hands-on**, proactive profile with strong communication skills and ease in interacting with people across all hierarchical levels.
* Availability for 100% on-site work.
**Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have)**
* Experience in manufacturing, metallurgy, automotive, or similar sectors.
* Experience with eSocial OSH and participation in internal or external audits.
* Brazilian National Driver’s License (CNH), Category B (if required for routine travel).
