Job Summary: We are seeking a Maintenance Mechanic I to ensure maintenance of components, industrial equipment, and machinery, planning maintenance activities and evaluating operational conditions, with emphasis on operational continuity and asset preservation. We believe in harnessing the potential of waterways to transport our resources and connect South America. **Ready to embark on this journey with us toward a better future?** We seek a **Maintenance Mechanic I**, whose mission is to **ensure maintenance of components, industrial equipment, and machinery; plan maintenance activities; evaluate operating conditions and performance of machine and equipment components; lubricate machines, components, and tools; and document information to ensure compliance with technical, quality, safety, hygiene, health, and environmental standards—focusing on operational continuity and organizational asset preservation.** **Responsibilities and Duties** As a **Maintenance Mechanic I**, you will be responsible for: * PERFORMING MAINTENANCE ON COMPONENTS, INDUSTRIAL EQUIPMENT, AND MACHINERY * Collecting information from operators regarding machine and process characteristics and operation; * Detecting defects; * Interpreting technical drawings; * Interpreting measurements indicated by measuring instruments; * Measuring dimensional parameters; * Replacing parts; * Removing debris from parts and machinery; * Assembling mechanical assemblies; * Leveling machines and mechanical assemblies; * Instructing operators on causes of breakdowns and defects; * Testing machine operation; * Refueling the GMG tank. * EVALUATING OPERATING CONDITIONS AND PERFORMANCE OF MACHINE COMPONENTS * Analyzing operator-provided information. * PLANNING MAINTENANCE ACTIVITIES * Verifying material and tool availability; * Estimating maintenance time. * LUBRICATING INDUSTRIAL MACHINES, COMPONENTS, AND TOOLS * Identifying lubrication points; * Clearing lubricant conduits; * Refilling lubricant levels and quantities according to technical specifications; * Replacing lubricants at intervals defined by their manufacturer; * Removing excess lubricants. * DOCUMENTING TECHNICAL INFORMATION * Requesting materials and components; * Recording usage of parts and materials; * Recording maintenance time; * Recording modifications and improvements. * IMPLEMENTING QUALITY AND ENVIRONMENTAL PRESERVATION ACTIONS * Adapting components and accessories to improve industrial machine performance; * Identifying improvement needs; * Proposing cost-reduction improvements; * Selecting parts and materials for disposal; * Routing materials and waste for recycling; * Reusing raw materials from replaced parts; * Prioritizing use of non-polluting chemical products; * Proposing development of devices to reduce accident risks; * Developing devices to reduce accident risks; * Knowing and applying SSMA (Safety, Security, Health, and Environment) norms and procedures. * WORKING SAFELY * Using personal and collective protective equipment; * Tagging equipment and machinery under maintenance; * Locking out machinery operation; * Demarcating work areas; * Illuminating specific work areas; * Keeping the workplace clean and organized; * Maintaining tools in proper working condition; * Identifying risk areas in the workplace; * Creating devices to reduce accident risks. **Requirements and Qualifications** If you have: * Completed high school education * Basic qualification courses totaling over 400 classroom hours, delivered by specialized schools.
