Ltda., a Japanese consortium comprising a Japanese government agency, trading companies, aluminum consumers, and aluminum product manufacturers. **What We Offer You** --------------------------- * Competitive salary aligned with the Mining and Metals market, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package, ensuring you are rewarded for your contributions. * The opportunity to join diverse teams at a global aluminum industry leader transforming the aluminum landscape. * A dynamic work environment with high technical exposure, strong field presence, and meaningful industrial challenges. * Opportunity for professional development and career growth within a heavy-industry context characterized by high operational complexity. * You will be part of a business built for the future, joining us on a transformative journey. **Your Responsibilities** ------------------- As a Senior Mechanical Maintenance Engineer in the Reduction area, your role will focus on mechanical maintenance of critical equipment, with allocation to one of two fronts: Furnaces *or* Overhead Cranes (PTM), requiring frequent field presence and use of technical analysis to support daily decision-making. * Conduct mechanical maintenance engineering activities in the Reduction area, focusing on Furnaces *or* Overhead Cranes (PTM), supporting availability and reliability of critical assets. * Monitor and coordinate routine maintenance stages, including planning, prioritization, tracking of Bad Actors, and technical handling of failures. * Prepare technical failure and risk analyses triggered by the department, tracking implementation of actions and verification of effectiveness. * Provide technical support for mechanical scope improvements and projects (including CAPEX), based on in-depth knowledge of the equipment/process under responsibility. * Conduct cost studies and analyses of materials and components (parts and subparts), supporting technical decisions related to suppliers and lead times. * Prepare technical reports, indicators, and presentations on asset losses and conditions, using digital tools to organize data and support decision-making. **What Will Make You Successful?** -------------------------------- ### **Education** * Completed Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory). * Active CREA registration ### **Technical Knowledge** * Prior experience as a maintenance engineer in large-scale industrial operations; * Solid foundation in mechanical maintenance of large-scale, highly critical operational equipment; * Strong knowledge of lubrication, bearings, and gearboxes; * Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems; * For Furnaces: Mechanical maintenance applied to Reduction furnaces and their associated critical equipment. * For PTM: Solid experience in steel structures, rails, heavy-duty material handling systems, and mechanical maintenance of overhead cranes operating on rails. * Proficiency with reliability and failure analysis tools (e.g., FMEA, RCM, RCA) and applicable maintenance tests/assessments. ### **Other Requirements** * Microsoft Office; * Power BI proficiency is considered an advantage; * Valid Brazilian driver’s license (Category B) required; * Intermediate English is considered an advantage; * Preference for candidates residing in Vila/Barcarena; Hydro values diverse skills and perspectives among its employees.
