Democratize e-commerce and financial services across Latin America As a **Cybersecurity Engineer, Forensics** at Mercado Livre, you will design and scale innovative, secure systems that solve real-world, high-impact problems. You will work in a dynamic environment with cutting-edge technology, applying sound engineering practices and operating AI in forensic routines: agents, LLMs, and automations are part of your daily work, with continuous learning and the purpose of democratizing e-commerce and financial services across Latin America. Imagine\-yourself leading challenging, dynamic, and innovative projects and **being responsible for:** * **Forensic analysis and incident reconstruction:** Investigate and reconstruct security incidents from logs and evidence, using agents and LLMs to accelerate triage, correlate high-volume events, generate hypotheses, identify attack vectors, and determine event sequences. * **Root cause and impact investigation:** Conduct forensic analyses to determine the origin, scope, and impact of incidents, producing clear inputs for mitigation and prevention. * **Evidence management and collection:** Collect, preserve, and analyze evidence across cloud, on\-premise, and endpoint environments, ensuring integrity and traceability. * **Security automation and collaboration:** Design and operate GenAI\-powered forensic pipelines—including agents, versioned prompts, and automations—that scale forensic analysis, accelerate decision\-making, and evolve Incident Response processes—reducing time between detection and containment. **What we’re looking for in you?** * **Experience in forensic analysis and incident response:** Practical experience conducting investigations, analyzing logs, and responding to security incidents, with solid knowledge of networks and operating systems. * **Operational use of AI in forensic workflows, in real scenarios:** Ability to leverage agents/LLMs for incident triage, hypothesis generation for threat hunting, large\-scale log review, and generation and auditing of analysis scripts. * **Knowledge of cloud environments and systems:** Experience analyzing evidence in AWS, GCP, and/or Azure, as well as on\-premise and endpoint environments. * **Scripting and data analysis skills:** Develop scripts in Python and/or Bash—writing, reviewing, and extending code with AI assistance—for analysis, processing large volumes of data, and automating investigations. * **Familiarity with tools and an analytical mindset:** Use tools such as Jupyter Notebooks, APIs, web requests, and log analysis solutions (e.g., Splunk, ELK), and operate AI agents (Claude, GPT, Gemini) for investigation and automation—combining analytical thinking, strong communication, and collaboration in critical environments. **Are you excited to leave your mark on Latin America’s technology landscape?** Apply now and join our mission!
