Amazon's INTech Latam team is hiring software development engineers to work at our Software Development Center in Brazil. The INTech Latam team builds new features for Amazon.com (http://amazon.com/) across different countries and develops systems to support Amazon's operations. You will learn everything about designing, implementing, and testing highly scalable solutions using AWS cloud platform and its diverse products, within agile and challenging projects, working alongside top professionals in the field. The groups are organized under the following fronts: BEN - Black Employee Network, Women@Amazon, Glamazon (LGBTQIA+), and People with Disabilities. **BASIC QUALIFICATIONS** ------------------------ * Understand and evaluate critical applications end-to-end and assess high- and low-level design. * Actively contribute to the technical strategy of teams and be responsible for technical tradeoffs that may impact existing applications as well as other applications within Amazon. * 5+ years of software development experience. * Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: C, C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, Kotlin, JavaScript, Clojure, or another OOP language. * Systems Design and familiarity with application and database programming on UNIX/Linux. * Experience with Agile/Lean (Kanban, SCRUM, RUP, XP), OO modeling, Web Services, UNIX, and databases. **PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS** ---------------------------- * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline, or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or related fields. * Proven track record of developing large-scale solutions in ambiguous environments. * Knowledge of Software Development Life-Cycle models and experience delivering efficient software. * Customer relationship skills, including the ability to deeply understand requirements. * Recommend alternative technical approaches and lead engineering efforts. * History of delivering large, cross-functional projects. * Strong verbal and written communication skills. * Demonstrated analytical and design abilities. * Experience mentoring and training the engineering community on complex technical issues.
