About the Role: An Amazon Software Development Engineer (SDE) tackles business challenges through technology, owns their systems end-to-end, and influences the direction of our technology impacting hundreds of millions of customers globally. At Amazon, an SDE designs flexible and scalable solutions and works on some of the most complex large-scale computing challenges, applying expertise in data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming. Amazon’s INTech Latam team is hiring Software Developers to work at our Software Development Center in Brazil. The INTech Latam team builds new features for Amazon.com (http://amazon.com/) across multiple countries and develops systems to support Amazon’s operations. You’ll learn everything about designing, implementing, and testing highly scalable solutions using the AWS cloud platform and its diverse suite of services, in agile and challenging projects, while working alongside the industry’s top professionals.

**BASIC QUALIFICATIONS**

* Understand and evaluate critical end-to-end applications and assess high-level and low-level design.
* Actively contribute to team technical strategy and be accountable for technical tradeoffs impacting existing applications, as well as other applications across Amazon.
* 5\+ years of software development experience.
* Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: C, C\+\+, C\#, Java, Python, Golang, Kotlin, JavaScript, Clojure, or another object-oriented language.
* Systems design experience and familiarity with application and database programming on UNIX/Linux.
* Experience with Agile/Lean (Kanban, SCRUM, RUP, XP), object-oriented modeling, Web Services, UNIX, and databases.
**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**

* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field; or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or related disciplines.
* Proven track record developing large-scale solutions in ambiguous environments.
* Knowledge of Software Development Life-Cycle models and experience delivering efficient software.
* Customer-facing skills, including the ability to deeply understand requirements.
* Recommend alternative technical approaches and lead engineering efforts.
* Demonstrated history of delivering large, cross-functional projects.
* Verbal and written communication skills.
* Proven analytical and design skills.
* Experience mentoring and training the engineering community on complex technical topics.
