Job Summary: Sertin Instrumentação is seeking a Design Engineer with experience in project development and review, test supervision, and result analysis, focused on compliance and continuous improvement. Involvement in corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance of systems Sertin Instrumentação seeks a Design Engineer holding a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. \- Preferred: Postgraduate degree / MBA. Specializations in quality areas and topics related to the pharmaceutical industry. Pharmaceutical Quality System (SQF); Qualification and Validation; Quality Deviation Management; Risk Management; Change Control; and Technology Transfer. \- Active registration with the Regional Council of Engineering and Agronomy (CREA). \- **Minimum 2 (two) years of documented experience in project development**, verified in the professional work record for maintenance activities and qualification, maintenance, and operation of mechanical systems and industrial, hospital, and/or pharmaceutical equipment, as well as project development; \- Must have experience in qualification/maintenance within industrial, hospital, and/or pharmaceutical settings; **\- Must have expertise in HVAC, steam lines (Pure and/or Industrial), compressed air, wastewater treatment plants (ETE), and other related systems;** \- Certifications in good engineering practices and equipment qualification (preferred). \- Experience in corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance. Involved in defining processes and equipment, as well as developing actions, reports, and other routine tasks in the area. Gathering items, materials, and calculations required to obtain the final product; \- Knowledge of industrial utility plant equipment, especially HVAC systems, low-voltage systems, effluent treatment centers, and clean/dirty utilities; \- Knowledge of thermal equipment, cleanrooms, flow equipment, and utilities; \- Familiarity with supervisory control systems and industrial automation networks (ProfiNet, Modbus, BACnet, and other standards established by IEC) is desirable; \- Experience in the pharmaceutical, hospital, cosmetic, or food industries is desirable; \- Knowledge of maintenance management systems is essential; ENGINEERING RESPONSIBILITIES: \- Protocol Development and Review: Develop, review, and approve protocols; conduct risk analyses for equipment and system qualification, ensuring compliance with applicable technical standards and regulations; \- Test Execution Oversight: Supervise and validate qualification tests, ensuring adherence to approved protocols; \- Result Analysis: Analyze qualification test results and prepare detailed reports with recommendations for process and equipment adjustments and improvements; \- Training and Capacity Building: Provide training and capacity building to technical staff on qualification and maintenance procedures, acting as a knowledge multiplier; \- Collaboration with Other Professionals: Consult and interact with other specialists—including engineers from other disciplines, technicians, and safety professionals—to ensure service integration and compliance with technical and regulatory requirements; \- Documentation Management: Ensure all technical documentation and qualification reports are properly organized and available for audits and inspections; \- Compliance Assessment: Evaluate and ensure qualification processes comply with quality and safety standards, promoting continuous improvement; \- Meeting Participation: Attend planning and progress meetings for qualification activities, supporting the coordinator and reporting on action status and achieved results; \- Assist engineers in preparing technical drawings, plans, and specifications using CAD software (AutoCAD, BricsCAD, etc.); \- Conduct site visits and inspections to collect data and monitor project progress; \- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including reports, authorizations, and correspondence; \- Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely task completion and adherence to quality standards; \- Assist in preparing project cost estimates and schedules; \- Perform engineering calculations and data analysis to support engineering decisions; \- Maintain organized and up-to-date project files and databases; \- 2D mechanical design in AutoCAD and 3D design in Revit; \- Selection of air outlets; \- Equipment selection; \- Thermal load, flow rate, pressure, etc. calculations; \- Analysis, development, and refinement (subject to change control) of HVAC, steam, compressed air, WFI water piping, and ETE projects; \- Duct and piping sizing; \- Development of installation projects; \- Development of duct fabrication projects; \- Material takeoff.
