**Responsibilities:**
* Learn and apply current methodologies in battery safety and electrochemical modeling to execute simulation projects.
* Identify limitations in existing thermal runaway and electrochemical modeling techniques; propose and implement improvements.
* Develop and validate cell-level electrochemical models to predict performance, degradation, and safety behavior.
* Perform thermal runaway simulations at the cell, module, and pack levels, supporting design evaluations.
* Document and standardize modeling methodologies for thermal and electrochemical simulations.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with product teams and share progress and insights with stakeholders.

**Qualifications:**
* Master’s degree in one of the following fields: Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering, or Applied Physics, obtained from a university accredited by ABET.
* Minimum of 2 years of experience using simulation tools for engineering applications.
* Practical experience with battery simulation and analysis tools such as GT\-SUITE, MATLAB/Simulink, Amesim, or equivalents.
* Strong understanding of electrochemical principles and thermal behavior in battery systems.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills (in English), with the ability to clearly present technical results to cross-functional teams.
* Proven interpersonal skills and a collaborative profile to work effectively in teams.
* Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems using analytical and simulation-based approaches.
**Additional Information**

**Preferred Qualifications:**
* Solid knowledge of battery performance characteristics, thermal behavior, and safety mechanisms.
* Practical experience with battery testing methods, including thermal runaway tests, aging studies, and performance evaluations.
* Proficiency in developing and applying 0D/1D/3D simulation models for battery systems.
* Programming and customization skills for commercial simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, Visual Basic, and Visual C\+\+.
* Good general knowledge of battery performance and thermal management.
* Strong programming skills in commercial software (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, Visual Basic, Visual C\+\+).
