Wilson Sons – Tugboat Business Unit, the market leader in port towing services in Brazil, operating a fleet of 80 tugboats across all major ports and terminals nationwide, is seeking a Captain to join its crew at the **Belém | PA** branch.
Our **Tugboat | Captain** is responsible for onboard and crew management, control and execution of port towing, oceanic towing, special operations, and salvage assistance.

**Responsibilities and Duties** **See some daily responsibilities for this position:**
* Familiarize all onboard visitors and new crew members with the vessel and emergency evacuation routes;
* Understand all types of services performed onboard, whether by crew or third parties;
* Verify that all crew members are onboard and ready to depart at the scheduled departure time;
* Ensure implementation onboard of the pollution prevention and response plan;
* Immediately inform the branch manager in case of non-compliance with vessel orders, disciplinary infractions, or failure to perform assigned duties;
* Maintain up-to-date nautical charts and publications, readily available for use;
* Ensure all crew members hold valid documentation required for navigation;
* Become familiar with all navigation, communication, safety, and lifesaving equipment;
* Comply with and enforce all Wilson Sons work procedures and instructions related to job activities.
* Requirements and Qualifications:
**Requirements and Qualifications** **For this position, prior experience as a Port Tug Captain performing ship berthing and unberthing maneuvers is essential.**
**What You Need to Apply:**
* Required license category for the role: **CFL – River Captain / PLF – River Pilot / MFL – River Master**
* Preferred: **Coastal Master or CTR – Boatswain**
* Experience in port tug maneuvering.
* Completed high school education;
* Preferred: Undergraduate studies in progress or completed;
* STCW Regulation II/5 – II/3 will be an advantage;
* Computer skills (Google tools);
* Work schedule: 7 days on / 7 days off;
* Must reside in: Belém | PA
