Description:
Required Qualifications:
* Technical Nursing Course;
* Active registration with the Regional Nursing Council (COREN);
* Prior outpatient experience is desirable.
* Receive and hand over shift reports within their assigned unit, informing the on-duty nurse of all incidents;
* Provide patient reception and communicate discharges, transfers, and deaths to relevant departments; organize patient records upon discharge;
* Document incidents and care provided in medical records; deliver comprehensive patient care according to the established care plan; administer medications per physician prescriptions; and respond to emergencies and other unit areas as required;
* Assist the unit nurse in overall supervision of the care unit and in planning nursing care when requested;
* Prepare and escort patients for laboratory and diagnostic tests, and assist with or perform specimen collection;
* Support medical staff during necessary procedures, and collaborate with nurses in identifying complications in critically ill patients by observing, reporting, documenting, and immediately notifying the nurse in case of adverse events or non-conformities;
* Prepare and maintain cleanliness in designated nursing and patient care areas, equipment, and supplies;
* Submit requests for laboratory and diagnostic tests, surgery notifications, etc.;
* Respond to physicians and family members, providing information within the scope of their responsibilities;
* Comply with institutional policies, standards, and protocols; read reports and notices, and stay informed about patients' clinical progress and status;
* Keep patient records updated and well-organized, ensuring confidentiality and integrity;
* Provide care related to hygiene, comfort, nutrition, mobility, vital signs monitoring, wound dressings, catheterization, enemas, fluid balance, in accordance with the care plan;
* Collaborate in hospital infection prevention and control through adherence to prevention protocols;
* Monitor individual patient supply and medication stock levels, and request replenishment as needed;
* Inspect facility infrastructure within their assigned unit, promptly report repair needs to immediate supervisors for appropriate action, and use equipment and materials appropriately to prevent waste or misuse;
* Attend to visitors, phone calls, and patient visits, performing triage and providing information regarding institutional hours and regulations;
* Maintain professional ethical conduct in accordance with the Nursing Code of Ethics;
* To assume the role of Nursing Technician, candidates must hold a valid registration with the Regional Nursing Council (COREN), and all financial obligations to COREN must be fully settled;
* Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisors.
