Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Libras Interpreter to interpret conversations, lectures, and teaching-learning activities at the University of the Amazon. Key Highlights: 1. Interpret communication from Portuguese into Brazilian Sign Language (Libras) in educational contexts. 2. Mediate the specificities of the university context. 3. Accompany deaf students in all university activities. We are looking for a talented professional for the position of **Libras Interpreter**. Interpret conversations, narratives, lectures, and teaching\-learning activities across various courses at the University of the Amazon. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES * Proficiency in Brazilian Sign Language (Libras); * Interpret communication from Portuguese into Libras in educational contexts; * Mediate the specificities required by the university context; * Review in advance the original text to be translated/interpreted; translate the text into Brazilian Sign Language, consulting dictionaries and other information sources regarding regional differences; * Interpret curriculum-related, assessment-related, and cultural texts; interpret written or signed textual productions by deaf students; * Use computer resources to assist students in the classroom; * Interpret speeches, lectures, expository classes, comments, explanations, debates, assessment questions, and other similar meetings; * Accompany deaf students in all activities occurring within the university environment. REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS * Completed undergraduate degree in Portuguese Language and Libras, or undergraduate degree in Pedagogy with postgraduate specialization in Libras; * Basic Microsoft Office package.
