We are looking for a Geotechnical Engineer to join our Mining Unit team.
**Requirements and Qualifications:**
* Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; Postgraduate degree in Geotechnics;
* Experience in geotechnical and civil projects and/or field supervision for mining (earthworks, retaining structures, hydraulic structures);
* Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts;
* Capability to prepare daily and monthly site reports documenting field activities performed.
**Responsibilities and Duties:**
* Lead and guide your team—technically and, where applicable, managerially; Integrate the company’s technical staff;
* Issue ART (Technical Responsibility Annotation) for positions and functions related to assigned activities;
* Serve as Intertechne’s Technical Focal Point with VALE regarding field works and activities;
* Conduct field activities, ensuring adherence to operational schedules;
* Assess risks associated with work execution and develop mitigation strategies, considering safety, environmental, and operational factors;
* Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment of expectations;
* Ensure works are implemented in compliance with design documents, environmental regulations, and health and safety standards;
* Prepare daily and monthly site reports, providing data-based information and recommendations for strategic decision-making, including documentation of field activities and verification of project compliance.
