Maintenance Electrician for Low Voltage Transmission Lines - Acaraú/CE
Description:
Mandatory:
* Completed high school education;
* Driver's license, Category B;
Desirable:
* Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite;
* Experience in maintenance or construction of transmission lines (TL);
* Knowledge of the Equipment Maintenance Management software (EquipMaint);
* Courses in Basic Electricity, Industrial Electrician, or related fields;
* Experience in substations (SE).
Job Mission:
Provide maintenance services on transmission lines, complying with internal requirements and processes with maximum quality and safety.
Responsibilities:
* Perform, under supervision, predictive and preventive maintenance tasks, conducting quick, detailed, and specific inspections on energized and/or de-energized transmission lines, to comply with the maintenance plan;
* Perform, under supervision, corrective maintenance actions arising from anomalies identified during quick, detailed, and specific inspections on energized and/or de-energized transmission lines (e.g., clearing access roads, unblocking routes, vegetation cutting, tower restoration, insulator and hardware replacement, conductor/OPGW/lightning protection cable recovery, fence grounding, among others), to restore operational and safe conditions;
* Assist in specialized maintenance on energized lines, complying with Engineering procedures and requirements established by Occupational Safety, aiming to maintain LT availability and reliability while adhering to the maintenance plan;
* Assist in emergency response by performing special inspections, locating and identifying causes of automatic outages, to restore transmission functionality within the shortest possible time;
* Contribute to the conservation and maintenance of facilities and branch offices, ensuring infrastructure remains in good condition to adequately support activities;
* Record defects/anomalies identified during inspections in the maintenance management software, to keep the corrective maintenance planning updated;
* Ensure proper use and preservation of transmission line maintenance tools and instruments, to safeguard personnel safety and company assets;
* Establish routine contact with landowners along transmission line routes, identifying and reporting dissatisfaction points to the supervisor, to maintain positive relationships and ensure unrestricted access for service execution;
* Provide supporting information to those responsible for preparing inspection reports, contributing to the implementation of the maintenance plan;
* Assist in commissioning and acceptance of new equipment and transmission lines, complying with the commissioning plan and executive project specifications, to obtain approval for commercial operation;
* Support the substation (SE) team in carrying out predictive, preventive, and corrective activities, to meet the maintenance plan and established targets;
* Operate company vehicles in compliance with traffic legislation and fleet policy, ensuring safety, asset protection, and upholding COTESA’s and the Client’s image;
* Assist in receiving materials and equipment, controlling, organizing, cleaning, and maintaining spare parts in good condition, following established procedures, to ensure optimal inventory readiness;
* Comply with legal regulations and internal procedures, correctly using and maintaining PPE and collective protective equipment (CPE), proactively addressing risks during activities and identifying hazardous situations, to safeguard health and safety;
* Participate in executing Contingency Plans and/or Emergency Response Plans and/or Dam Safety Plans, following internal procedures, identifying deviations and implementing necessary actions to ensure compliance, sizing required resources, to guarantee personnel and facility safety and operational continuity;
* Monitor area performance indicators to understand process outcomes;
* Provide support and perform other professional duties related to and inherent to the position, as directed and/or requested by the immediate supervisor.
