




**Activities:** * Responsible for removal, maintenance, or eventual complete rebuilding of a transmission, and reassembly. * Responsible for detecting mechanical problems originating from or related to a vehicle’s transmission. * Responsible for maintaining the vehicle’s integrity while it is in the maintenance pit during service. * Responsible for their tools, their maintenance condition, proper storage, and correct usage for maximum efficiency, including specialized and measuring tools. Tasks * Performing maintenance or eventual complete rebuilding of a transmission, checking components such as clutch, shafts, synchronizer rings, and gears, and diagnosing external hidden causes that may damage the transmission or impair its proper functioning. * Requesting necessary parts for inspection and specific tools to increase work efficiency. * Conducting on-road and on-site vehicle tests for diagnosis of potential defects. **Requirements:** * Driver’s license, Category D (Desirable) * In-depth mechanical knowledge of the product, and engineering awareness to understand designs, specifications, tolerances, and material quality. * In-depth knowledge of the complete operation of all vehicle components. Extensive professional experience in mechanics and maintenance of various diesel vehicles. * Specialized and in-depth knowledge of as many diesel transmissions as possible. Characteristics * Disciplined and meticulous, with constant attention to all details. * Systematic and methodical, works under instructions and follows established procedures. Requirements: Desirable experience assembling EATON/ZF transmissions.
