Description

Job Summary: The professional will be responsible for performing and controlling waste weighing, examining specifications, preparing manifests, and maintaining contact with various stakeholders. Key Highlights: 1. Control and recording of waste weighing using an automated information system. 2. Interaction with production, sales, customers, and official agencies. 3. Organization of files and issuance of tax documentation. Perform and control weighing of incoming or outgoing waste using electronic scales and an automated information system, ensuring compliance with applicable documentation and monitoring the movement of transport vehicles to record data and measurements for billing purposes. **Responsibilities and Duties** * Examine incoming waste specifications, entering relevant data (e.g., weight, type, generating company) into the appropriate information system; verify or confirm data and generate protocols, tickets, etc., to enable authorization for entry, exit, and tracking of waste to designated destinations (landfills: industrial or sanitary); * Prepare manifests for leachate and other waste movements based on standardized information, aiming at treatment by partner or third-party companies; * Maintain contact with production or sales staff to clarify doubts regarding waste descriptions or specifications, transport companies, customers, registrations, etc., or with landfill unloading teams to exchange operational information; * Conduct traceability of operations or service data upon request by consulting the internal system to resolve possible discrepancies or locate deposited waste; * Maintain contact with customers and representatives of official agencies (e.g., City Hall, FEEMA) to provide or obtain routine information of interest; * Receive bulk materials or consumables/maintenance items (e.g., gravel, sand), following received instructions, verifying fiscal documents, performing weighings and registrations, and maintaining necessary controls to ensure proper receipt of such items by the company; * Organize and maintain document archives (e.g., manifests, invoices), arranging them appropriately for distribution to competent internal departments; * Issue transit invoices, manifests, and transport waybills, ensuring accurate completion of documents and adherence to routine procedures to support external waste movement; * Generate standardized reports based on data stored in the system for control purposes or submission to environmental agencies; * Record non-standard occurrences and promptly forward them to supervisors for appropriate action; * Perform scale startup and shutdown procedures, adhering to routine protocols, observing and reporting any operational issues to ensure correct weighing operations; * Receive official inspectors and auditors, acting per supervisor guidance and providing requested information regarding scale calibration validity, permits, and other standard requirements to meet required needs; **Requirements and Qualifications** * High school diploma. * Proficiency in computer use at the user level.
