Geology Assistant

Description

Assists with manual drilling tasks, such as core storage and cutting, sample preparation, identification, and packaging; verification of core boxes and drilling reports; maintenance, organization, and cleaning of the core shed; receipt and organization of laboratory duplicate samples; as well as support in field sampling activities, face marking, and topographic surveying in the underground mine. **Responsibilities and Duties** Participate daily in the Daily Safety Dialogue with the Geology team. Immediately report to the immediate supervisor any incidents that occur and deviations from safety controls. Do not perform any activity if any critical control is not 100% implemented. Non-routine activities or changes in routine activity scenarios presenting high risk must be previously authorized by the immediate supervisor. Follow all steps of operational procedures to avoid deviation from the mapped process. Perform auxiliary geology department tasks assigned by the immediate supervisor. Carefully verify core boxes and drilling reports. Immediately notify the immediate supervisor upon detecting any anomaly. Ensure full organization and cleanliness of the core shed. Participate in primary field support activities alongside technicians or geologists, whether in open-pit or underground operations.
