The Procurement Assistant is responsible for supporting the procurement of materials and supplies required by the company, including obtaining quotations, negotiating with suppliers, and tracking purchase orders. This professional works under supervision, contributing to the efficiency and control of procurement processes. * Obtain price quotations for materials and supplies required by the company. * Negotiate with suppliers to achieve optimal payment terms and delivery schedules. * Monitor the procurement process from request through to material delivery. * Maintain up-to-date supplier records, seeking new partnerships and evaluating current supplier performance. * Review and verify invoices to ensure compliance with purchase orders. * Prepare reports and spreadsheets for procurement and inventory control. * Collaborate with the procurement team to improve processes and reduce costs. * Proactively identify opportunities to optimize procurement activities. * Adhere to internal company policies and procedures related to procurement. * Participate in training and capacity-building programs to enhance procurement knowledge.
