




**Description:** Nursing Technician - FIXED-TERM - Concórdia Unit **Salary:** R$1,653.97 + benefits **Schedule:** Monday to Saturday from 07:00 to 13:00 **Required:** Completed High School and Technical Nursing Course / Experience as a nursing technician in the Surgical Block. **Desirable (an advantage for the candidate, does not prevent hiring):** Experience in the Surgical Block Provide high-quality care to surgical patients, promoting safe surgery practices according to BLC guidelines. Be part of the Institution's fire brigade, participating in training sessions, meetings, and drills, acting preventively and knowing how to guide procedures for evacuation and emergency exits when necessary; Follow professional ethical codes and applicable legislation; Act ethically, respectfully, and lawfully; Treat everyone courteously, with enthusiasm and planning; Inform your immediate supervisor of absences, delays, and request permission for scheduled leave/early departure; Actively participate in actions, trainings, and meetings conducted with nursing supervision and coordination; Follow established sector PRS and POPs to perform activities; Use the PPE recommended in the sector; Check surgeries scheduled for the operating room according to monthly/daily planning; Provide surgical materials to be used in procedures, if assigned to work in the supply area; Set up operating rooms, providing materials and medications according to the surgical procedure to be performed and medical team requests; Perform daily checklists of equipment, anesthesia materials, temperature, and humidity in operating rooms; Transport pre-operative or post-operative patients between care units and the inpatient department; Guide external patients on changing clothes and storing personal belongings, registering this in the appropriate form; Verify that external patients have brought all necessary exams for the procedure; Confirm that the admission form is correct and that the patient is properly identified with a wristband; Verify that the Informed Consent Form for the Procedure, General Consent Form, and Covid Consent Form have been signed; Execute the safe surgery protocol for all patients undergoing surgical procedures; Report adverse events to nursing supervision; Receive the patient in the operating room and carry out established processes and protocols in the department (insert large-bore access, perform trichotomy in the surgical area, monitor the patient, and assist in other procedures performed by the anesthetic and surgical teams); Provide humane and safe patient care throughout the anesthetic and surgical procedure, following medical team instructions; Perform double-checking with nursing supervision and record in the logbook all specimens to be sent to the pathology laboratory and fluids and samples for clinical analysis laboratory; Perform double-checking and send blood samples to the transfusion agency and clinical analysis laboratory; Send specimens daily to the pathology laboratory at established times; Send fluid containers for storage in the clinical analysis laboratory properly documented and identified; Transfer the patient to the recovery room after the surgical procedure, with all documents completed and stamped; Dismantle the operating room, send contaminated materials to decontamination, and register them on the standard form; Maintain organization and cleanliness of operating rooms before, during, and after surgery; Organize sterilized materials in the BLC supply area, always checking item expiration dates; Document the release of any material from the BLC supply area to be used in another department or by a physician at another institution; Care for and organize department equipment, safeguarding institutional property; Keep the BLC organized and signal the need for facility and equipment maintenance, as well as items needing replacement due to damage; Evaluate daily departmental risks and record risk management failures; Report these failures to nursing supervision; Notify the department nurse of non-conformities; Comply with institutional inter-departmental transfer policies when necessary. Participate and suggest process improvements using quality tools (POPs, protocols, process maps, among others); Complete a nursing report at each shift; Relay the schedule of planned surgeries in the absence of nursing supervision; Comply with the Nursing Code of Ethics, Internal Nursing Regulations, Institutional Policies, and Department Internal Regulations; Observe safety, environmental control, and other internal regulations and/or legislation relevant to your activities; Perform other similar tasks as deemed necessary by management. 2511140202461868485
